Lois Moore-Rogers Pediatric Otolaryngology Lectureship – Established in 1996
The Lois Moore-Rogers lectureship was established in 1996 by Dr. Gerald Healy and the Department of Otolaryngology at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Healy established this award to honor Lois who worked in pediatric Otolaryngology for 18 years. Lois has been a long-time member of SOHN and active in the Pediatric Special Interest Group. During her years in practice, Lois concentrated on integrating the family unit when providing care. She was also interested in providing patient and family education.
Lois in conjunction with SOHN hopes the annual recipient of this award demonstrates innovation in ideas and comprehensiveness by including growth and development issues that impact on the family unit.
The recipient of this lectureship will receive a cash award and a certificate of recognition and be honored in the event program and post-meeting.

Cynthia S. Mabry Sinusitis/Otolaryngic Allergy Lectureship – Established in 1999
The Cynthia Mabry Sinusitis/Otolaryngic Allergy Lectureship was established in 1999 to honor her memory (1937-1999). Cynthia was a long-time active member of SOHN and well respected for her expertise in otolaryngic allergy. She successfully combined the difficult multiple roles of wife, mother, and nurse. As a certified Otorhinolaryngology & Head-Neck nurse, she served as an excellent role model for all colleagues. She was a dedicated otolaryngic allergy nurse who shared her expertise in many ways. She taught numerous allergy courses throughout the world. She was involved in the education of residents in the training program in Dallas. Cynthia lectured at both the national and local levels.
Cynthia co-authored dozens of papers/articles and the textbook, "Allergy in ENT Practice”. She was the recipient of the Sam Sanders Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy for research in immunotherapy for allergic fungal sinusitis. Cynthia exemplified the essence of the professional nurse and was committed to patient care and to SOHN. She served as President of the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter.
The recipient of this lectureship will receive a cash award and a certificate of recognition and be honored in the event program and post-meeting.

Barbara Sigler Head and Neck Lectureship – Established in 2026
The Barbara Sigler Head and Neck Lectureship was established in 2026, by the Ear, Nose and Throat Nursing Foundation (ENT-NF), to honor Barbara Sigler’s extraordinary contributions to the Society of Otorhinolaryngology Head-Neck Nurses (SOHN) and the specialty of head and neck nursing. As a past president of SOHN, Barbara demonstrated exceptional leadership, clinical expertise, and dedication as both an educator and mentor, throughout her distinguished career. Her passion for advancing head and neck cancer care and educating nurses has left a lasting impact on both the organization and the profession.
The recipient of this lectureship will receive a cash award and a certificate of recognition and be honored in the event program and post-meeting Update.

Kalynn Quinn Hensley Head-Neck/Laryngology Lectureship
The Kalynn Quinn Hensley Head & Neck/ Laryngology Lectureship was established in 2000 to honor the memory of a very special patient who was cared for by many of the SOHN nurses in Houston, Texas. Kalynn was diagnosed with Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP). She required frequent surgical procedures to maintain her airway. She lost her fight for life in 2000 as a young adult due to pulmonary disease progression to cancer.
This lectureship is retired.
